Marketing Coordinator
We design the Bay Area’s most beloved civic, cultural, and institutional buildings. We are an award-winning, 80+ person, design-oriented firm based in San Francisco. The Position:
We have an opening for a personable and organized Marketing Coordinator in our San Francisco office. The Marketing Coordinator will work in conjunction with the marketing team, principals and project leaders to produce impeccably tailored statements of qualifications, proposals, interview presentations, and well as assist with other marketing and public relations activities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the marketing team, principals and project leaders to identify and promote opportunities for new work, and conduct research on potential clients, leads and projects.
  • Coordinate and produce InDesign qualification packages (RFQs/RFPs) to ensure full compliance with submission instructions and deadlines for both MCA and our consultant team.
  • Design visually compelling, customized brochures and presentations for prospective clients and project interviews.
  • Lead the preparation of proposals, brochures, web materials and other marketing collateral.
  • Request and coordinate detailed and project-specific information from internal project team members, external consultants, and other team members for inclusion in proposal and presentation materials.
  • Assemble sub-consultant teams for proposals.
  • Update and maintain databases (currently Cosential) of project descriptions, project documentation, resumes, references, project images, and specialty writing pieces.
  • Provide general administrative and research support, as needed and requested by the principals, marketing team and office staff.

Desired Skills and Expertise:

  • Advanced knowledge of Adobe InDesign and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent writing skills.
  • Outstanding eye for design and presentation.
  • Strong management and people skills.
  • Wide knowledge of marketing strategy, business development, and the architectural and engineering industry.
  • 2-5 years of experience or more considered.
  • Experience with CRM is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree desired, or equivalent experience.

Senior Interior Designer

Mark Cavagnero Associates has a position available for a Senior Interior Designer with 10+ years of progressive work experience.We are an award winning, design-oriented firm in San Francisco specializing in cultural, educational and civic projects; recent award winning projects include SFJAZZ, Oakland Museum of California and The Terrace at the California Academy of Sciences. As a steadily growing firm, we offer a great deal of potential for designers who are interested in being integral in the development of a firm committed to well designed and detailed work.

We are looking for a professional, thoughtful and self-motivated individual with strong design and coordination skills who is able to multi-task and work independently with precision. The ideal candidate will want to be involved in the design and documentation of a variety of projects from the schematic design phase through construction.

They will have exceptional skills in the following areas:

  • Conceptualizing and designing layout,
  • Developing FF&E selections,
  • Creating architectural and construction-ready drawings,
  • Preparing and conducting presentations to clients in clear, concise and coherent fashion,
  • Managing project schedules,
  • Negotiating contracts with clients as appropriate, and
  • Managing multiple projects simultaneously

Experience in non-residential work with an emphasis on cultural, educational and civic projects is required.  Proficiency in Auto CAD, Revit and 3-D modeling is essential.  Experience in planning is desirable but not mandatory.

Intermediate Interior Designer

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Collaborate on various interiors projects, including programming client needs, conceptual design, schematic design, and design development.
  • Ability to take initiative, work independently and collaboratively while integrating a high degree of attention to detail, organization and problem solving.
  • Provide design support for completion and execution of client presentations.
  • Develop space planning concepts and interior palette.
  • Participate in selection of furniture systems and specifications.
  • Work with consultants to meet overall project deadlines.
  • Participate in the construction administration of projects and review of submittals.

Skills and expertise:

  • Strong conceptual design ability and advanced graphic representation skills.
  • Exhibits understanding of basic building materials, details and construction techniques.
  • Strong knowledge of the design process, including architectural/interior finishes, lighting, FF&E, furniture systems and specifications.
  • Intermediate to advanced Revit competence is preferred. Proficiency in AutoCAD/Architectural Desktop, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator.
  • Knowledge of 3D Modeling software such as Rhino and Sketchup preferred.
  • Minimum Bachelor degree in interior architecture or architecture with focus or experience in Interior Architecture.
  • Ability to communicate design ideas and direction quickly.
  • Passionate, responsible, team oriented, self-initiator and highly motivated individual.
