    Description

The Seminary at Strawberry seeks to create an intergenerational live/work/learn community while providing market rate rental units on the former site of the Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary.

The major elements of the new plan include a residential community with duplex and multi-family residences, an older adult residential/care facility, an internationally recognized-academic institution, supporting amenities, and open spaces. This diverse mix of uses will work in harmony to create a unique space with the potential to improve and transform the social fabric of the site and the local community. The concurrence of a college/university presence, affordable housing, and a community for seniors will make this a model for intergenerational living.

To maintain the former park-like environment and encourage walking and biking, approximately 70% of the 127-acre project site will be preserved as open space in the form of hiking trails, playing fields, and various pathways.
