    Description

490 Avenue of the Palms is one of the first condominium projects to be built on Treasure Island, in the heart of San Francisco Bay.

The project is uniquely sited along a new waterfront park with unobstructed views stretching from the Golden Gate to the Bay Bridge. Conveniently located within minutes from downtown San Francisco, the 148 residences will reconnect homeowners with a natural setting of island parks and hiking trails. Catering towards active lifestyles, onsite amenities include a full fitness center, 1:1 bicycle parking, and a residents’ lounge located directly across from the waterfront park.

Three large portals are strategically located within the design, creating view corridors through the building to the San Francisco Bay and city skyline beyond.  Each portal ranges from two to three stories in height offering a range of views and exterior settings from intimate spaces to large outdoor living rooms. A lush garden in the courtyard curves gently through the project's center, opening to residential terraces and a shared outdoor kitchen and dining area. The floor plan for each residential unit was carefully studied relative to the surrounding context, with open cooking and living spaces paired with exterior terraces oriented towards key views. As a waterfront development, the quality of light within the living spaces was a key consideration and led the design team to incorporate floor to ceiling windows throughout the design. The interior finish palette is comprised of natural tones with white oak and lightly textured stone that pair with the navy and deep aqua tones of the San Francisco Bay.
